なぜ勉強するのか
今日もどこかで赤ちゃんが生まれる。
この子は幸せな人生を送れるだろうか?
全ての人が幸せになってほしい。
「生まれてきてよかった」「生きててよかった」
と思える人生を送るために勉強するんだ。
読み切れない本やネットの情報のはん濫の中で、素晴らしいことを選び出す。
人類の文化財を学び、自分でアレンジを加え、文化をより豊かにする。
人間、自然、芸術を学び豊かな教養を身につけてよりよく生きる。
世界には難しい問題がたくさんある。
原発から放射能はもれ続けている。
福島の人は怒る。
「自然を返せ」「家を返せ」「安全な空気と水を返せ」「きずなを返せ」「ふるさとを返せ」
難しい問題は考え抜かないと解決しない。
何が問題かも分からない、頭の中がこんがらがって、どうしていいのか分からない。
たくさんの複雑にもつれた糸は丁寧にねばり強くほどいていくしかない。
ねばり強く正確な頭脳を身につけるために勉強するのだよ。
治せない病気、広がる貧困、いろいろな差別、難しい問題にみんなで立ち向かうのだ。
もっと面白い作品を作って文化を豊かにするのだ。
これから生まれてくる子どもたちが生きててよかったと思えるように
あなたが生きててよかったと思えるように。

Today, a baby is born somewhere. In the world.
Does this baby live a happy life?
I want everybody to be happy.
We study, to think it nice to be born or to be alive.
Among the flood of information on the Internet and books that we can’t read , we pick out a splendid thing .
We learn the cultural heritage of mankind , make arrangements of the culture, and enrich our culture .
We learn human being , nature and art to live better by getting a rich culture.
There are a lot of difficult problems in the world .
Radioactivity has continued leaking out from the nuclear power plant.
People of Fukushima get angry .
" Give back nature" " give back our houses ", " give back safe water and air ," " give back the bond ," " give back a hometown "
We cannot solve a difficult problem without thinking thoroughly..
We don’t know what is the problem , we are confused, and we don’t know what to do .
We do nothing but to untie the complex of tangled threads carefully and tenaciously.
We study to get accurate tenacious brains .
Everyone, let’s fight against a difficult problem ….disease that can not be cured , spreading poverty, and various discrimination .
We enrich the culture by creating a more interesting work .
For children who are born from now on think it nice to be alive
